Under Code Production Empty Holy Night vol.3
June 21st, Esaka Boomin Hall

Bands in order of appearance: THE ASK, Aliza Marie, 12012, DEViL KiTTY, Sinkro, Karen, Mar'derayla, RusH, Schwardix Marvally, Se'ikspia

Ok so I went with Cari, Krys, and Mariko. The journey to Boomin Hall was long and tedious and my feet were hurting blah blah blah now onto the live!

When we first entered they were playing the Simpsons. Goody..I don't like the Simpsons but always enjoyable in a room shared by a hundred other Japanese girls. Eventually music was played and suddenly Krys freaks out cause she knows the song. As it happens the first band was The Ask. Ex. Ryuujin. Needless to say I was pretty happy to see them and so were a total of 2 other girls! Anyway ah...it would be hard to describe looks cause it's a generic punk rock band... even though I hate to call The Ask generic. Kazya's hair is the BEST. It's like a maroon color with black underneath. His hair is REALLY pretty. It always freaks me out thinking he used to be in Misery...he changed so much...and for the better. X_x Most the songs they played were from 'Walk..." their latest CD...which ever so conveniently has songs from Ryuujin! So technically they didn't play new songs! This was probably good for me because I hadn't bought "Walk..." yet and I knew all of the songs...not by heart...but I knew! Fuka pulled out a light up laser gun and pointed it at a girl in the front row who personally couldn't have given a crap. I felt so bad cause only 3 people seemed to show any interest in them at all...Unfortunately I was one of them and being foreign I don't count...so it was more like 2 people! When Kazya was singing "ano subarashii ai wo mou ichido" He held the microphone out to the crowd to sing. W00t! I know this song! Kinda...like...enough to attempt to sing along...so I did...but quietly cause it's really stupid being the ONLY one singing along. I did try to make myself a little more into it since I felt so bad. I guess Kazya noticed and during the MC went off on how 'Hey I thought I saw some foreigners in the audience? Where are they?' ....no...no you did not see foreigners in the audience. X_x You are sadly mistaken Kazya.

Anyway The Ask is AWESOME! I would recommend anybody to see them but....uh they already disbanded...oh well. :\ They were VERY good...as in kickass awesome. When they ended I felt so bad that nobody could give a crap...yet they just STAYED in the front row to stare like idiot! AHG I would have LOVED to have been a bit closer. Next time in this situation I'll plow through scrawny Japanese girls.

Next up was Aliza Marie...so this really nice but old looking lady lets us all have the front row. Rawk! Aliza comes out and FEAR....Kichiku is...well....he put on a little weight in the short limit of one day...but it all went to his ass. Krys mentioned in her report it would put J.Lo to shame...well that it would, but you see J.Lo's ass has shape...Kichiku's is big and unshapely. It's NOT a very good thing to see. Along with tight pants that looked like they would rip at the seams and any second to give you a peek at something you really shouldn't see. Anyway they played stripper music (yay!) and came out looking about the same as the day before...except for our favorite foreign fearful Kichiku who is shoeless and with an added 20 pounds of ass fat. He looks VERY much like a caveman. A retarded one.

During the performance I kept my eyes on either Kichiku or Satsuki...cause Hiroki and Kyohei were boring. No actually Hiroki was cool. He flipped us off! Satsuki is just...wow for a drummer you wouldn't think he would be so fun to watch...but he makes these silly faces... I don't think he realizes he's doing them either! Or maybe he's not making faces and I just think he is cause I think his make-up looks weird...oh well he's cute. Kichiku....does not like foreigners. Here we are right in the front and all signs of us are practically ignored. To aggravate the 'already terrified by the foreigners' cavemen I decided to pet his fuzzy leg warmers....they were nice to pet. :X I did NOT make him happy. Then again I don't think he noticed. While doing the 'caveman chant' otherwise known as random jumping from here to there while yelling 'rahrahrahRARARARRAAH!' he looks down directly at me...and with the most pathetic attempt to hold back any sort of prejudice gives me the most goofy terrified grin EVER. He's priceless...I could completely ignore the fact that he hates foreigners and just loooooove the band and show up for every live right there in the front row all to torment Kichiku. I'm sure he's had a bad run-in with a foreigner one time before...or perhaps his English teacher did something sick to him...either way they rawk my socks.

While exiting and throwing stuff Satsuki steps on an amp to throw the drumstick and trips and his shoe goes flying along with the drumstick. While everybody in the confusion grabs for the shoe guess who got the drumstick!? ME!! Bwahaha! Unfortunately because I was grabbing for the drumstick and overly surprised I caught something cause uhm...I can't catch worth shit. I completely missed out on the little 'shoe' problem. I hear he got his shoe back! Good for him. It must suck terribly to go shoeless for the rest of the day. I guess that's where Kichiku's shoes went.

After Aliza was 12012! Unfortunately due to our complete stupidity we must ask every person EVERY time who the next band was. I didn't know they were ex. Mist of Rouge at the time. I just knew their name was cool to pronounce and the vocalist looked like a trainwreck so I would enjoy it. Didn't really get into the actual performance though...they were very good and did not look like they did on the flyer. (which was shit by the way) I didn't pay too much attention because by this time I was too busy contemplating how much my feet hurt.

Next was DeviL Kitty. Haha I told Krys...I told EVERYONE they would suck and they DID. I was in the middle of the raging fangirls actually attempting to get into it cause my stomach was hurting so bad and moving is the only way to make me feel better. I SPECIFICALLY remember this very hoochie girl that was wearing a pink mini shirt and this nasty white top which was close to see through... (I saw her boobs!) Anyway here is how her and her friends got into it. I'm going to share this cause I almost doubled over in laughter. First she walked with her 'groupies' or whatever you would call them back...given PLENTY of space. Then rushed forward just to jump into somebody in the most VIOLENT way they could....which means a 3 year old could push into you with more force, but hey....don't mess with chicks in 3 inch heels. Immediately after mercilessly slamming into the girl in front of her ignoring anything and EVERYTHING....she walks back to where she started and repeats...not looking at the band...or anybody. It was hard to tell if she was a fan or not...maybe some random girl who got kicks from running into younger and shorter visual kei fans. Oh about DeviL Kitty? I don't know. I didn't see them I was watching the fans.

Next was Sinkro...I don't remember ANYTHING about this...I remember a random band coming up...but being too tired to care...so doing what any obnoxious fangirl would do...I sit down...and stay there. Yes I know EVERYBODY complains about girls who sit on the floors but damnit when you're tired enough you wouldn't mind throwing your bags around to take up more space than 2 people can fit and just sprawl out on the floor and watch girl's play with their cellphones (I want one). They (Sinkro) were good...we thought the band was S'eikspia since the girl we had asked couldn't say Sinkro clear enough...or maybe she just wanted to fool us...well I guess it worked. I remember thinking 'wow...they sound like Sinkro'. Which was ironic. Due to sitting this one out I have NOTHING to say....HAH! (Which makes me feel bad cause I like Sinkro and I probably would have actually attended but yeah...I was tired)

Next is Karen...your typical pretty PRETTY holy shit PRETTY boy band...ok so they're not THAT typical. I didn't expect much since I had DLed some songs from WinMX and one particular song has this repetitive 'namida namida namida' which makes me want to rip my ears off and destroy my headphones....they're MUCH more tolerable live...actually they're not even 'tolerable' cause they're very good and enjoyable. Good and pretty...a plus! The music was 5x as upbeat as on CD...which is good cause Karen is a therapy CD for me...it makes me feel relaxed and sleepy. Anyway not much attention paid to anything that happened. I more or less stared in wonder at the pretty boys which look like any generic visual kei band boy at the age of 12. They're very pretty...and young looking.

Ok...moving on. Next was Mar'derayla. Ok so all I've seen of them was a not so recent flyer from long ago. Have they changed? Why yes...yes they have. I was OVERJOYED to see Hayato's hair....it was seafoam colored! I NEVER see anybody with seafoam colored hair. It just rawked so much. To make things better the sides were shaved and he drew on his bald head these wacky designs! For some reason this made me very excited so I rushed as much as I could toward the stage...I didn't get far. Anyway musically it wasn't to my taste...normal Undercode stuff...they were average...but VERY interesting to watch. At the end of the performance one of the members threw a sweat rag into the audience. It hit this girl who threw it down with the most disgusted look ever. HAHA Can you blame her?! The member who threw it tried to stay cool and exit normally after seeing his sweat rag was totally rejected. A sweat rag...that's just gross.

Next was RusH. I IMMEDIATELY recognized the opening song as being Shakka Labbits "Flapper" and it was kind of a dead giveaway who was next...unless Schwardix was planning on playing a silly little punk rock group for their opening music. (doubtful) Krys told me that Bruce said they sucked live...well I figured Bruce can shove it cause I already know RusH rawks. So I get up as close as I can to see. When they start out Takuma has a notepad and he's ripping off pages and throwing them into the crowd singing and sounding so very bored. Well....I expected a lot more...and by this time I got about as bored as I imagined Takuma must have been...but told myself it would get better. The next few songs Takuma sung all monotone like and it was SO mind numbingly boring....what happened to the cutesy squeaky helium sucking voice he has?! Well the last song they played was "Crash Baby" Holy shit I LOVE this song like you won't believe. At the time I saw this live it was my favorite song EVER...but Nooooo RUINED! Well...not really...they just didn't sing the 'whooooooah whoah' with it and that like MADE the song! I remember singing along to parts that were omitted and the girl next to me looking at me VERY strangely. Even if Takuma didn't sing in his usual way I won't lie by saying the song was NOT good. Surprisingly I was close to tears...yes I love this song a LOT and seeing it live was just weird. In a good way of course! Overall when RusH had finished I was dissapointed....they didn't suck...but they sure weren't any good.

Next band...Schwardix Marvally! At this time I'm thinking...screw it I'm tired I'm sitting on the tables and that I did! Schwardix was....wow they were very beautiful. I tried not to think much of it because by this time I was sick of the super duper 'we're VISUAL!' bands. But when they started playing my jaw dropped practically...they were..GOOD. X___X Even if I were some stingy brat sitting on tables and laying over girl's bags (which I guess I was) I could NOT say they sucked. They were VERY talented. X___x Then again that kinda just figures considering who is in the band. About halfway through I suddenly got VERY VERY sleepy. Like...close to falling asleep...which you really should NOT do especially in a livehouse with a band playing and music blaring everywhere to a point where you can't even hear yourself talk.

After that had ended I had the choice of joining Krys and Cari to see "Sinkro"...or sit on my lazy ass on the table surrounded by Louis Vuitton bags to lay on freely...I sat on the bags. When "Sinkro" came out they were....visual...very very visual...and something seemed wrong...so me and Cari's friend Mariko asked the random chick styling her hair next to us who was playing...it wasn't Sinkro it was S'eikspia....we spent the next moment staring at Krys and Cari who were more into it then anything else....and then we laughed at them. S'eikspia was VERY good though. Considering it's one of those random bands that you would ignore their very existance...they were pretty...and good. All I can say is they were good cause to be honest I was about to drop dead on a bed of expensive purses and bags. At the end of the performance one of the members threw a glow in the dark bracelet. Oh RAWK I love these things and I saw a ton of girls with them! So I got myself a glow in the dark bracelet! XD-

At the very end I was tired...so very TIRED. I wore the worst possible shoes ever and I wanted to rip my legs from my body. Well...I didn't really WANT to or anything but...yeah. So we all head to the merchandise table and I remember I have to get something from The Ask for my sister...but the stingy bastards packed up and left so no stuff. I spent the remainder of my time looking at Sinkro's bizarre shit then decided to waste money and time at RusH's table. They had 3 cds...I had to buy 2 (yes I had to)...it was a tough choice...and after being laughed at by the staff girl for wasting time she eventually recommended Q've to me. So I got 2 cds from RusH. I know their performance was less than good but their 1st mini album is the best CD EVER. No lie...every song on it is AWESOME! I love it to death. Without a doubt it's the best. Q've on the other hand....isn't the best...The CD covers are SUPER cute though. For their 2 recent ones they have little drawings of the band robbing a bank and the next CD has them in jail.

Phew...this is done.

Overall the best band was The Ask...Aliza too even if Kichiku has a stingy 'ew foreigners!' attitude. That's probably what makes them so fun to watch. Kichiku's tormented fearful face is the best. All the other bands were good too, but uhm personally I was too tired to actually 'participate' so I wouldn't remember anything past the first few bands..
